The Centre for Peace and Development Initiatives, Pakistan (CPDI) is an independent, non-partisan and a not-for-profit civil society organization working on issues of peace and development in Pakistan. It is registered UNDER SECTION 42 of the Companies Ordinance, 1984 (XLVII of 1984).

The aim of the project is to establish an integrated system for identification, prioritization, and budgeting of developmental needs with an effective monitoring framework in place for improved evidence-based development planning with a view to avoid duplications and optimize development spending. The proposed system brings together and synergizes existing frameworks and information systems by creating linkages for strengthening the developmental planning and monitoring regime. The proposed system will thus activate the missing or suboptimal processes and will produce the requisite data needed to fully enforce the development planning and monitoring system as envisaged in the relevant policies and regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Field Coordinator shall be the focal point for all project activities at the respective district level.  The Field Coordinator shall perform the following tasks:

  • Establish liaison and coordination with the LGE&RDD field formations in delivering the project results
  • Create linkages within the LGE&RDD formations and at the district administration level to pave the way for smooth implementation of the project activities
  • Associate with the authorities at the field formation and district administration level for describing the project activities and build requisite ownership and support to achieve project milestones
  • Acquire the required documents, reports, and other materials to facilitate the data entry requirements for the system
  • Support the respective authorities at the local level in undertaking activities pertaining to local level planning leading to formulation of Annual Development Plan
  • Acquire the existing PC-1s and other documents and support and participate in data entry in the system in respect of the previous 02 years
  • Support the respective authorities in undertaking the local planning process through the proposed system
  • Support in formulation of concept papers, need assessment, PC-1 documents, working papers etc. through the proposed system relating to respective local authorities
  • Support in the deployment of the proposed system at the respective local authority
  • Support in capacity building and trainings of the officials of the respective local authorities
  • Support in handing over the proposed system at the respective local authorities
  • Identify, in a timely fashion, any issue or risk in implementing project activities or achieving project milestones and report to the Team Lead with proposed solutions thereto
  • Inform the Team Lead, periodically, of all the activities performed to achieve the project milestones and deliverables
  • Lead and coordinate the implementation all project activities at the local level
  • Any other task incidental to the delivery of the project activities or otherwise as directed by the Team Lead.

Required Qualification and Skills:

  • The Field Coordinator shall hold a master’s degree in economics, public finance, accounting, commerce or related disciplines.
  • The Field Coordinator shall have at least 10 years of experience in social mobilization or working as coordinator for project management, monitoring, coordination, supervision, and reporting.  
  • Prior experience of working with the local governments is essential for this position.
