Centre for Peace and Development Initiatives, (CPDI) is
trying to implement the Punjab Transparency and Right
to Information Act 2013 by linking it with the issues of
common people and then getting these service delivery
issues resolved by submitting information requests
to concerned public bodies. In this connection, CPDI
is facilitating Right to Information Networks (DRTIN),
consisting of concerned and active citizens, established
in four districts of Punjab.
These DRTINs map issues of the common people on
bi-monthly basis, submit information requests to
concerned public bodies and hold interface meetings
with concerned Government officials. In these meetings,
DRTN members share their concerns and sensitize
public officials about their right to information. In
this regard, District Right to information network,
Sargodha will be holding interface meeting with the
officials of Tehsil Municipal Authority and Traffic
Police department on December 8, 2014 at Solo hotel,
Sargodha.
