Right to Information legislative landscape in Pakistan has improved with the enactment of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Right to Information Act 2013 and Punjab Transparency and Right to Information Act 2013.
It is exceedingly important to identify and understand rules, regulations and procedures that strengthen culture of secrecy and create barriers in having access to information despite the enactment of excellent right to information law. It is in this context that Centre for Peace and Development Initiatives, in collaboration with Friedrich Naumann Foundation will be holding conference on Citizens’ Right to Information and Access Barriers’.
