|Description||CNBA is the network of civil society organizations, academia and NGOs working on the monitoring of Government Budget – Strengthening the participation of citizens, enforcing transparency & accountability and pointing out the loopholes in the budget making process.
The main objective of the project is to promote democratization by strengthening mechanisms of governance. This is aspired through enhanced public accountability on use of taxpayers’ money by public authorities. The initiative aims to brace the participation of citizens in the budgetary process at all the levels of the Government. In this regard CPDI has formulated a network of different organizations from ninety one districts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Baluchistan and Sindh known as the Citizens Network for Budget Accountability (CNBA).
Citizen Network for Budget Accountability (CNBA) and Centre for peace and Development Initiatives (CPDI) are organizing planning & review meeting according to following schedule in Karachi, Sindh.
